RATING FEE & ANNUAL SURVEILANCE FEE

Ø          The rating fee is Rs.30,000/- for factories registering upto March 2011 and Rs.35,000/- for those factories registering after March 2011.

 Ø          The annual surveillance fee is Rs.30,000/- for factories registering upto March 2011 and Rs.35,000/- for those factories registering after March 2011.

 Ø          The rating fee and annual surveillance fee will be borne jointly by the factory and the Government of India (GoI), with the latter’s liability diminishing progressively over the years as shown below:

Note: The rating fee & annual surveillance fee shown above are exclusive of service tax & education cess. Applicable service tax & education cess shall be borne by the factory.

      Government of India will bear a part of the rating fee and annual surveillance fee in the initial years to encourage the ginning & pressing factories to come forward and subject themselves to assessment.  Factories seeking assessment in the later years will have lesser Government share / no Government share in the fees.
